Accounts Payable Specialist

About the position

The SIXT Finance Department is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounts Payable Supervisor in daily operations. This role ensures accurate invoice processing, maintains financial records, and upholds compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Process and review 2,000–3,000 invoices weekly, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with vendors, team members, and the German Accounting Department.
• Maintain accounting records through scanning and filing while assisting the Accounting Manager with financial tasks.
• Ensure data security and uphold financial integrity while coordinating accounting procedures internationally.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage financial data accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
