About the position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Prime Residential is responsible for analyzing and collecting past due invoices while maintaining positive relationships with residents. This role involves various tasks aimed at minimizing financial losses and ensuring timely payments, including reconciliations and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and collect past due invoices for specified accounts.
  • Maintain resident relations by answering calls, meeting with residents, and returning voicemails and emails.
  • Process payments daily, including some weekends.
  • Audit move-in files and post payments.
  • Prepare Lease Renewal Letters daily.
  • Receive and complete Notice to Vacate forms and communicate changes or cancellations to residents.
  • Prepare NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) letters and three-day Notice to Pay or Quit.
  • Prepare Balance Due Letters and follow up with residents to collect outstanding balances.
  • Prepare files for the Legal Department to initiate Unlawful Detainers and be available to appear in court if needed.
  • Prepare Final Accounting Statements and revise as necessary.
  • Prepare move-out files for the Collection Department.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Three years of accounts receivable experience.
  • Previous property management experience preferred.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience in property management software (RealPage / OneSite preferred) or ability to learn it quickly.
  • Strong research and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong math and computer knowledge.
