POSITION EXPECTATIONS Oversees all routine department activities, such as daily processing & posting of customer payments. Conduct credit checks for new or infrequent customers. Monthly reporting of aging totals. Maintains a working relationship with customers, reconciling any discrepancies that arise. Assist various team members and departments with invoice discrepancies, as well as an active member of the Collections team. Ability to motivate team members to ensure deadlines are met for month-end close. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Overseeing the Accounts Receivable team. Annual performance reviews of team members. Hiring, training, and evaluation of Accounts Receivable Clerks. Directing assigned tasks as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education, Certifications and /or Licenses: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Experience: 5 years Accounts Receivable experience required. Prior supervisory/managerial experience is preferred, but not required. Knowledge/Skills: Strong leadership skills. Thorough understanding of the accounts receivable process. Maintain a high level of integrity and trust. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer programs. Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Able to work independently and/or collaboratively within a team willing to roll up your sleeves and help the team get work done. Manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines.
