About the position

We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist I to join our team in Milan, IL. This role is essential for managing our accounts receivable processes and ensuring accurate financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for finance.

Responsibilities

• Review and post all cash receipts to the AR system
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries
• Assist Credit Department in the daily collection and review of all customer accounts
• Send monthly statements
• Communicate with customers and sales team
• Monitor customer rebate programs
• Perform some complex clerical and entry-level accounting activities
• Perform account analysis
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associates degree in accounting or other business related field preferred
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounts receivables
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt to change in workload and organize priorities
