About the position

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will manage the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of accounts, ensuring accurate processing of incoming payments and maintaining accounting records. This role involves routine calculations, postings, and verification of financial data, while assisting in the development and implementation of goals, policies, and procedures related to Accounts Receivable.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments accurately applying them to the appropriate accounts.
• Check initial claim status to ensure claim processing has begun.
• Track and resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Generate weekly aging spreadsheet with timely dates from insurance carrier guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain various reports.
• Conduct account research and analysis.
• Identify reimbursement policies outlined by individual insurance carriers.
• Identify medical coverage policies outlined by individual insurance carriers.
• Submit verbal/written claim appeals.
• Make daily collection calls to insurance carriers.
• Submit claim review requests to upper management for adjustment or closure.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Medical Collections experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record of success and can articulate the results.
