About the position

ITA International is seeking an Acquisition Specialist / Technical Writer to support the Ship Design Team for the U.S. Coast Guard in Washington, DC. This role involves planning, developing, and executing acquisition-related policies and processes for the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter Acquisition Program, ensuring high-quality documentation and effective communication of complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute acquisition related policies, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter Acquisition Program.
  • Deliver high quality documentation, summarizing complex technical concepts in an easily understandable format.
  • Develop high-level reports and presentations for briefing Program Managers and senior leadership on acquisition program performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience supporting Major Acquisition Program(s) (DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I or equivalent) in a management and program analyst role.
  • Experience in DHS/USCG Level 1, DoD ACAT I or equivalent acquisition document development life cycle.
  • Experience with development of policies and procedures, SOPs, and similar program documents.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and testing SharePoint sites and creating and managing workflows in SharePoint.
  • Experience in requirements development, implementation, and testing of automated CDRL processing tools.
  • Proficient with MS Office products specifically Access, Project, Visio, InfoPath, and NINTEX.
