About The Position

The Activities Director at Avamere Rehabilitation of Lebanon is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging activities for residents to enhance their quality of life. This full-time position requires collaboration with various departments and community partners to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents while ensuring compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a social or recreation program, or similar experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with residents of this nature.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications Preferred: Therapeutic Recreation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members.
  • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters.
  • Participate in community event planning with the marketing staff.
  • Make routine visits to residents.
  • Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the resident's response to the service.
  • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary and in conjunction with resident care plans.
  • Plan, prepare and operate under the Activities budget.
  • Set up, implement, and clean up resident group and individual activities.
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
  • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
