About the position

The Activity Coordinator at The Peaks at Santa Rita is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing a comprehensive activities program for seniors. This role requires a passion for working with the elderly, strong event coordination skills, and the ability to engage residents in various activities that enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and energetic personality, capable of appealing to diverse personalities and encouraging participation in events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage residents in various activities and events.
  • Create, develop, and implement a full event, activity, and fitness program.
  • Encourage participation from all residents in the activities program.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with residents.
  • Coordinate and plan events that cater to the interests of the senior population.

Requirements

  • One year of event planning or coordinating experience is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with residents.
  • Flexible daytime hours and some weekends may be required.
  • Must have energy, creativity, and imagination.
  • Basic computer skills are needed.
  • Prior senior living experience is strongly preferred.
  • Desire to provide quality of life to seniors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in decorating, wedding planning, or teaching is preferred.
