About the position

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking an Acute Care Surgery physician to lead the Surgical Critical Care fellowship program as Director. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a well-established Acute Care Surgery team at a major trauma center in Georgia, with responsibilities including overseeing fellowship training and engaging in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Surgical Critical Care fellowship program as Director.
  • Oversee the training and education of surgical critical care fellows.
  • Participate in clinical practice as an Acute Care Surgery physician.
  • Engage in faculty appointments and research opportunities.
  • Provide trauma call support, averaging 4 in-house calls per month.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care Medicine.
  • Faculty experience at the associate professor level or currently qualified for promotion to associate professor.
  • Proficient in broad-based general surgery procedures.
  • Active Georgia License or ability to obtain.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
