About the position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction. We have partnered with RepuCare as our subcontractor for substance abuse and rehabilitation services. We are seeking Substance Abuse/Drug and Alcohol Treatment Professionals to serve as the Addiction Recovery Specialist in a full-time position at Plainfield Correctional Facility in Plainfield, Indiana. The Addiction Recovery Specialist provides supportive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services to patients within a correctional facility, through outpatient treatment, addiction recovery education, and group counseling. This role is crucial in helping individuals recover from addiction while navigating the challenges of a correctional environment. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field, along with a CADAC II certification (or higher, such as LAC or LAC-A). If the candidate does not already possess the required certification, they must be able to obtain it within 24 months of hire. Additionally, candidates must show or obtain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR, first-aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use certification. A background investigation and agency security clearance are also necessary for this role. The pay rate for this position ranges from $23.50 to $25.06 per hour, depending on certification and experience, and it is a full-time day shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supportive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation services to patients within a correctional facility.
  • Conduct outpatient treatment sessions for individuals struggling with addiction.
  • Facilitate addiction recovery education programs for patients.
  • Lead group counseling sessions to support recovery efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and agency requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is required.
  • CADAC II certification (or higher LAC, LAC-A) is required or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire.
