About the position

Ursa Major was founded to address a critical shortfall in the U.S. industrial base and bring a new model to aerospace and defense systems: we design and manufacture the world's leading propulsion systems for space, hypersonic applications, and missile systems. Our products and technologies require an extraordinary team - a team that will mold tomorrow's technologies while deploying today's best. We are an intrinsically motivated team that has a passion for solving problems and empowering each other every day to develop our skills, knowing that there is always room for growth. This role will have a high level of responsibility in shaping the application and use of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) additive technology for advanced propulsion applications. As part of the small, high-performing team the Additive Manufacturing Engineer will support additive design as well any task necessary to keep machines running and parts moving. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and ready to tackle challenges head on. Direct experience with LPBF or another additive process is preferred but not required. More important is the desire for continuous technical learning and excitement about propulsion design and manufacturing. Additive Manufacturing is critical to Ursa Major's products and this role will be critical in supporting rapid product development and scaling.
