About the position

The Adjunct Instructor for Conflict Management and Resolution at Fresno Pacific University is responsible for teaching a course that explores the nature of human conflict and its management through a Christian lens. The role emphasizes equipping students with interdisciplinary skills for constructive conflict resolution while integrating principles of faith, compassion, and reconciliation. This position is part-time and ongoing, with classes scheduled for Thursday evenings from January 13, 2025, to May 9, 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as described and assigned.
  • Discuss class progress with the program coordinator, including teaching performance through observation.
  • Collaborate with other faculty as needed.

Requirements

  • M.A. or Ph.D. in the field of Communication or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work with students, staff, and faculty in a collegial environment.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and the University's mission of Christ-centered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church.

Nice-to-haves
