About The Position

The Adjunct Instructor for Electronics/Electromechanical Engineering Technology is responsible for teaching courses related to electronics and electromechanical engineering technology. This role involves implementing curricula, instructing assigned courses, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success. The instructor will utilize effective teaching strategies and educational technology to promote successful learning outcomes for students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of computers and instructional methodology.
  • Knowledge of theoretical foundations of learning and instruction as applied to various learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and instruct courses as assigned by the Department Chairperson/supervisor.
  • Demonstrate sound practices in instruction and classroom management that respond to students' diverse academic needs.
  • Follow the prescribed course outline and use texts selected by the department plus other supplemental material.
  • Provide instruction according to the class meeting schedule and instructional hours established for the session.
  • Assist students toward the successful completion of course(s) by providing outreach, guidance, and timely feedback.
  • Make oneself accessible and available to answer students' questions in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to College policies and procedures relating to employment, academic matters, and student behavior.
  • Encourage students' completion of the course evaluation form and develop a plan for improvement based on feedback.
  • Attend and participate in various College meetings for orientation, professional development, or other departmental activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
