About The Position

The City and County of San Francisco is looking to hire multiple analysts to support various city departments in addressing issues such as homelessness, environmental sustainability, transportation, green spaces, and public safety. Requirements

  • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) in relevant fields.
  • Experience in public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, or accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance data to identify operational challenges and develop policy recommendations.
  • Prepare materials for publication such as policy memos and hearing materials.
  • Develop budget proposals and financial models, track City revenues and expenditures.
  • Perform account reconciliation for budget period closing and present analysis to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management of contract processes throughout the full procurement process.
  • Conduct data and programmatic analysis using analytical programs.
  • Assist with fiscal accounting, budget analysis and reporting, billing, revenue collection, and debt management.
  • Review and analyze internal and external budget requests related to grants management.
