About the position

The Administrative Assistant role at Apple is designed to provide comprehensive support to a Director and their Hardware Engineering team. This position requires a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and maintain a high level of professionalism. The role involves managing schedules, coordinating travel, processing expenses, and facilitating internal events, all while fostering a positive work environment and building partnerships across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director and their Hardware Engineering team.
  • Manage calendar scheduling and travel arrangements.
  • Process expense reports and maintain office supplies.
  • Coordinate internal events such as team building and organizational meetings.
  • Act as the point of contact for the Facilities team to troubleshoot building issues.
  • Onboard new employees and train team members.
  • Manage space planning and seating requests for the team.
  • Collaborate with other Admin leaders to develop best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with all levels of staff.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility to work outside of business hours.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with senior executives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Apple hardware and software, particularly Calendar, Mail, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages.
  • AA/AS degree is required; BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and exercise good judgment with confidential information.
