About the position

The position involves reviewing handoff information from the previous shift's admin team and the Flash Report. The role requires creating, monitoring, and responding to open cases in FMC during pre-shift preparation and throughout the shift, as well as escalating any cases impacting the current and next shift to the Duty Manager. The individual will also create a Truck Activity log and conduct a Pre Shift Yard Audit to ensure that present loads have been checked in and match YMS status/dock door assignments. Additionally, the role includes verifying that all loads that have physically departed from the warehouse have been checked out as reflected on the Truck Control Log and YMS, and ensuring that all trailers are pulled forward with doors closed and sealed for quick pick up.

Responsibilities

  • Review hand-off information from previous shift's admin team.
  • Review Flash Report from previous shift.
  • Create, monitor, and respond to open cases in FMC during pre-shift preparation and throughout shift.
  • Escalate any cases impacting current shift and next shift to Duty Manager.
  • Create Truck Activity log.
  • Conduct Pre Shift Yard Audit to verify present loads have been checked in and match YMS status/dock door assignments.
  • Verify all loads that have physically departed from warehouse have been checked out as reflected on the Truck Control Log and YMS.
  • Ensure all trailers are pulled forward with doors closed and sealed.
  • Print copies of LDMs for all arriving flights for the current shift.
  • Test and assign scanning equipment.
  • Attend Pre-Shift Meeting 20 minutes prior to start of shift.
  • Check status of arriving flight and verify on-time arrival.
  • Communicate with NCC on any impacted flight delays or situations impacting flight performance.
  • Review LDM for flight arrivals and establish unload plan.
  • Communicate unload plans for each flight to Ramp and Sort leads/supervisors.
  • Update down-stream facilities of any late departing loads or required ad-hoc scheduled trailers.
  • Assign position/arrival gate for arriving flight and communicate gate assignment to Ramp Supervisor.
  • Verify LDM information is entered and accurate.
  • Proactively create case requesting driver ETA.
  • Complete BOL paperwork and check trailers into building.
  • Attach dock doors on YMS and cross check with dock team.
  • Assign dock doors for outbound line haul loads.
  • Verify loads have been scanned and strapped prior to departure.
  • Check out driver following truck log to verify physical and virtual matching info.
  • Inform NCC of rolled freight or expected rolled freight.
  • Submit daily Flash Report to Contrails.
  • Transfer shift handoff information to Admin Supervisor on next shift.
  • Conduct End of Shift Yard Audit.
