About the position

Ethical Culture Fieldston School (ECFS) is seeking a qualified seasonal early childhood professional to join our admissions office. This part-time position will run from October to February and involves conducting playgroups for candidates applying to grades PreK-1st. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team to assess a group of children daily and produce a written assessment for each candidate. This role also requires conducting school visits at various nursery schools throughout New York City. The hiring range for this position is $40.00-$50.00 per hour, and salary offers will be determined based on factors such as the scope of responsibilities, internal equity, required skills, and the candidate's experience and education. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • At least two years of prior early childhood education experience, preferably in an independent school setting.
  • Respect and appreciation for diversity in all of its forms.
  • Desire to be part of a team and a community with the capacity to work well independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen effectively and be receptive to feedback.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite is a plus.
