The position involves providing essential support in a healthcare setting, focusing on patient admissions and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients. The role requires clerical duties, patient interaction, and adherence to safety protocols, all while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and search new patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.
• Manage clerical duties such as paperwork, data entry, and engaging with insurance companies over claims.
• Complete necessary paperwork for patient admission and explain forms prior to signing.
• Notify the clinical lead of patient arrivals and escort patients to the appropriate location.
• Ensure timely completion of the admission process and distribution of paperwork to staff.
• Process required patient information and schedule necessary appointments with health personnel.
• Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards customers and resolve complaints.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals as needed.
• Document clinical information accurately in patients' medical records.
• Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
• Engage patients in activities to encourage treatment goals achievement.
• Assist with contraband searches and itemizing patient belongings when needed.
• Complete and maintain required documentation and assist with follow-up paperwork on incidents.
• Provide or coordinate transportation for patients as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, especially in Social Services.
• One or more years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
