About The Position

The Admissions Representative at South University is responsible for recruiting qualified applicants for admission in alignment with state and federal regulations and institutional policies. This role involves managing inquiries, conducting interviews, and ensuring prospective students are informed about educational programs and services. The representative will work closely with student support services to facilitate student matriculation and maintain a high standard of ethical recruitment practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field and one year of successful admissions or sales experience, or an associate's degree and three years of successful admissions or sales experience.
  • Sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations.
  • Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills.
  • Goal-oriented and highly ethical.
  • Strong expertise with MS Office and related software packages.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a leader or team member and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to listen to customers and respond positively to their requests.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately explain educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
  • Manage inquiries to achieve weekly goals of prompt contact and performance activity.
  • Secure new inquiries by asking for referrals from phone and in-person contacts.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, pursuing qualified candidates for enrollment based on career goal compatibility.
  • Forecast projected new students periodically for admissions leadership.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings with all applicants to ensure successful matriculation.
  • Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem-solving.
  • Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities such as open houses and community outreach.
