About the position

As the Advanced Chemical Engineer for Gasoline Technologies at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support for a variety of UOP technologies, including the Platforming and Isomerization processes. This position is integral to the optimization, troubleshooting, and startup of UOP technologies on a global scale. You will work closely with both internal teams and external customers, ensuring that UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units operate optimally, profitably, and safely. Your contributions will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also drive innovation and development within the company’s technology offerings. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering value-added digital and other services that improve reliability and profitability for our customers. Regular interactions with external clients, as well as collaboration with various UOP departments such as R&D, Sales, and Engineering, will be essential. You will actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Business Technology Integration (BTI) projects, championing changes and improvements in the technologies and services you support. Your responsibilities will also include conducting on-site commercial unit audits and preparing/updating operating manuals and training materials to ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed and equipped to utilize UOP technologies effectively. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where problem-solving and effective communication are key to success. You will be expected to participate in engineering review meetings, including design basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, and HAZOP, ensuring that all technical aspects are thoroughly reviewed and optimized for customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for UOP technologies including NHT, CCR Platforming, Fixed Bed Platforming, Penex, Butamer, ParIsom, and other light fuels process technology.
  • Support both external and internal customers, including license/operating companies, EPC contractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Complete the transfer of technology to deliver UOP-licensed or UOP-designed units that operate optimally, profitably, and safely.
  • Deliver value-added digital and other services to improve customer reliability and profitability.
  • Engage in regular interactions with external customers and UOP personnel involved in projects and services.
  • Collaborate with all UOP departments involved in technology and service delivery, including R&D, Sales/Sales Support, and Engineering.
  • Actively participate in NPI and BTI projects.
  • Champion changes and improvements in supported technologies and services.
  • Participate in customer meetings and engineering review meetings, including design basis, PFD, P&ID, MFD, Plot Plans, and HAZOP.
  • Conduct on-site commercial unit audits.
  • Prepare and update general operating manuals, process technology manuals, and training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 8+ years of relevant technical experience including UOP Field Operating Service, UOP Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in process operations, technical service, or engineering design.

Nice-to-haves
