About the position

The AF Solutions Clinical Specialist II at Boston Scientific is responsible for promoting and supporting the Watchman and FARAPULSE product lines. This role involves educating current and potential customers, developing relationships with healthcare professionals, and providing clinical and sales support to achieve sales goals. The specialist will work closely with a dynamic team to enhance the Watchman brand within a defined territory, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Meets with existing and potential clients to identify their clinical needs and discuss how company products can assist them.
  • Develops relationships with hospital personnel to identify key decision makers and facilitate future sales.
  • Responds to customer needs and complaints by developing creative solutions or collaborating with other personnel.
  • Provides direction and guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff.
  • Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership and builds strategic partnerships within the organization.
  • Assists management in recruiting and coaching organizational talent.
  • Implements and monitors strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area.
  • Coordinates territory and sales management efforts to build strategic partnerships.
  • Develops relationships with key referring physicians to promote market development and growth.
  • Works with sales management to identify strategic initiatives for improving effectiveness.
  • May require on-call duties to support coverage.
  • Trains on and maintains knowledge of clinical trial protocols and compliance regulations.
  • Manages clinical trial activity within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in clinical cardiology, medical device sales, or equivalent education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Work experience in Structural Heart/Atrial Fibrillation/EP desired.
  • Demonstrates technical aptitude and ability to discuss complex technical product information.
  • MS or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
