About The Position

The Agency Instructor I - Cyber Defense and Compliance is responsible for delivering training in cybersecurity and compliance, utilizing adult learning theories to enhance learner success. This role involves both online and classroom instruction, technical assistance, and curriculum development to meet the needs of the Cybersecurity Program. The instructor will engage in various teaching methods and ensure effective course delivery while maintaining subject matter expertise.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Four years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• One year of adult education and/or training experience.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Security discipline.
• Five or more years of experience in IT and systems administration focused on information security.
• Current industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, Network +, Security +.
• Experience in developing cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC.

Responsibilities

• Instruct cybersecurity courses and provide technical assistance for cyber clients.
• Prepare training materials, aids, and equipment prior to courses.
• Ensure classrooms are ready for participants and secure upon course completion.
• Assist with cybersecurity assessments, audits, and penetration tests.
• Develop course content for new and recertifying courses.
• Promote teamwork with the instructor cadre and maintain positive interactions with staff and customers.
• Participate in updating and revising course materials as a team member.
• Complete class documentation accurately and timely according to requirements.
• Submit weekly reports and assist in marketing division programs.
