About the position

The Agile Coach Systems Engineer at SAIC's National Security Group will play a crucial role in the Landmark AOS program, which is responsible for the complete end-to-end life cycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. This position involves working closely with system stakeholders and technical teams to implement Agile methodologies, improve processes, and enhance team performance in a high-security environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with system stakeholders and technical teams to evaluate and prioritize cross-program capabilities and requirements.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and advice to government teams on Agile system engineering processes, practices, and activities.
  • Coach specific roles including Solution Managers, Solution Train Engineers, Release Train Engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvement and re-engineering methodologies.
  • Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt and efficiency trade-offs.
  • Develop and support Agile maturity assessments and coaching plans for teams.
  • Support the identification, collection, and reporting of Agile execution metrics.
  • Develop briefings and training materials for teams.
  • Organize and lead Release Planning events to set goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate positive team dynamics to maximize team performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with nine years of experience, Master's with seven years, or PhD with four years of related experience; relevant experience can substitute for degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools, such as Jira.
  • Certified Scrum Master, certified Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, or Agile Coach certification.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate larger sessions or events for release planning.
  • NRO experience (preferably Ground).
  • Knowledgeable of Agile frameworks (preferably SAFe).
  • Familiarity with IC and/or DoD space architectures, systems, and/or operations is a plus.
