About the position

The Agile Coach is responsible for enhancing Agile practices within the Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) of Government Owned Software. This role involves producing Agile process metrics, coaching Agile teams, and ensuring effective Agile adoption and performance improvements across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Produce Agile quality metrics and ensure availability to the Government through Agile Project Management Tools at the end of each Sprint and release.
  • Plan and complete Story Points per Sprint, average velocity variance per Sprint, and Sprint burn down charts, release burnup chart, and cumulative flow diagrams.
  • Produce Agile product metrics, including lists of Epics and user Stories delivered over time, user registrations, and downloads, to be presented to the Government at the conclusion of each Sprint.
  • Produce average value assessment metrics, specifically cost per delivered Story point ratio and delivered Story points per unit of cost.
  • Coach Agile Teams on the framework, attend Agile ceremonies, support Scrum Master(s), report on Agile process performance, and work with program leadership to improve Agile adoption and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' professional experience, including 2 years implementing various agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, XP, Lean, Kanban) across full lifecycle software development projects.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the agile space as a Coach, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, and/or Developer.
  • Proven leadership in the Agile community with successful transitions to Agile in organizations with little previous experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with high-level managers and guide Agile implementation.
  • In-depth understanding of organizational dynamics and ability to achieve culture change for Agile transition.
  • Experience in tools and techniques of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum and XP) with a track record of continuous improvement.
  • Experience guiding program managers using Agile in large programs with multiple Agile teams and projects.
  • Knowledge of implementing architecture in an Agile environment and coordinating multiple teams for large-scale enterprise development.
  • Understanding of constraints in federal contracting environments and ability to apply methods to overcome them.
  • Familiarity with deploying software at the TS/SCI level to NSA Network (NSANet) and NSANet approved tools for system configuration and management.
  • Experience with third-party Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) software.
