About the position

Piper Companies is hiring an Agile Coach to join a well-established organization located in Boston, MA. The Agile Coach will be responsible for maintaining objectivity regarding issues and troubleshooting them by applying agile principles. This role involves holding stand-up meetings with cross-functional teams to review project status and supporting teams in determining resource allocations to maintain agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery. The Agile Coach will facilitate learning and development among employees through individual and team coaching, coach senior managers in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from the top down, and communicate agile principles, scrum practices, and the overall operating model across the organization. Additionally, the Agile Coach will collaborate with the coaching team to build out collateral to support coaching, including frameworks and matrices, champion the use of metrics and other objective measures by teams, lead coaching efforts from individual contributors to high-level leadership levels, and undertake daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 6+ years of previous agile coaching experience, and overall 10+ years of experience.
  • Substantial experience with Jira, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Track record of implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication, servant leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
