The SDLC, Agile Coach is a vital member of the Enterprise Business Technology Solutions (EBTS), Strategy and Enablement team at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. This role is designed for a subject matter expert who will provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to facilitate the organization's Agile transformation. The Agile Coach will play a key role in guiding and training the EBTS organization as it adopts Agile values and practices, ultimately enhancing the delivery of critical business initiatives. As an organizational change agent, the Agile Coach will embrace an Agile mindset and work to cultivate this mindset throughout the organization. In this position, the Agile Coach will maintain industry expertise and certifications in Agile methodologies, leveraging this knowledge to drive best practices across software delivery teams. The coach will champion Agile principles, scrum practices, and overall operating model effectiveness, leading workshops to promote the adoption of standard practices and ceremonies. A significant aspect of this role involves fostering collaboration and driving cultural change within and across Agile teams. The Agile Coach will define key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize measures and metrics to assess and drive effectiveness, while also recruiting and partnering with Agile evangelists within EBTS to promote continual learning and maturity of Agile practices. The Agile Coach will also be responsible for creating and maintaining the enterprise Agile learning roadmap to support Horizon's adoption strategy. This includes developing and managing the Agile Training/University program, designing training curriculum, materials, and exams, and conducting Agile training classes for staff at all levels, both in-person and virtually. The coach will facilitate learning through workshops, meet-ups, and team-building activities, teaching participants to interpret Agile productivity measures and understand options for improving velocity. Establishing trusted working relationships with IT and business colleagues is essential, as is the ability to communicate progress against objectives and embrace the concept of continuous learning for others.
