The Agile Coach at Bread Financial leverages their experience and understanding of agile values, principles, and practices to drive delivery and build the required culture to support lasting agility within individuals or teams. This role is pivotal in fostering a continuous improvement and learning culture, acting as a coach, trainer, mentor, and thought leader. The Agile Coach focuses on building relationships and interactions that allow individuals to thrive as members of high-performing teams that drive innovation. They influence individuals, teams, and mid-level leaders to regularly evaluate ways to improve efficiency, throughput, and speed to value while minimizing costs and improving overall quality. The Agile Coach is knowledgeable about agile development, testing, and deployment approaches, providing guidance and expertise on when to leverage technical subject matter experts to develop appropriate capabilities and coach the team. They provide input, guidance, and assistance with the execution of Agile practices, leveraging empirical data to identify and propose ways of working that improve the delivery of value. The Agile Coach has a keen eye for reducing waste and building efficiencies in processes, interactions, governance, documentation, and tools. They help teams and individuals adopt and improve their understanding and practice of Agile methodology, coaching and mentoring them on agile principles, values, and practices. When needed, the Agile Coach acts as Scrum Master by facilitating Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. They identify areas of improvement and implement changes to optimize Agile processes, promote collaboration between team members and stakeholders, and provide guidance on Agile best practices. Additionally, they assist in the development of Agile training programs and materials, acting as a change agent to ensure that the organization continues to improve its Agile practice.
