About the position

The Agile Team Manager is responsible for leading a team of Agile Coaches in a Large Financial Institution (LFI) environment. This remote role focuses on driving agile transformation and ensuring that teams are equipped with the necessary coaching, tools, and methodologies to optimize performance and deliver business value. The Manager serves as a mentor, facilitator, and leader, aligning agile practices with the broader business strategy and guiding principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Agile Coaches, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the organization's agile transformation strategy.
• Ensure agile practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Enable teams to adopt agile methodologies and measure the impact of coaching efforts.
• Act as a liaison between agile coaches and other departments to integrate agile practices across teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve agile processes, tools, and ceremonies.
• Oversee agile transformation initiatives and support change management efforts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, scrum@scale, and Lean methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience with agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and performance metrics.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant Certifications: Certified Agile Coach, PMP, Scrum@Scale Practitioner, SAFe program consultant.
