About the position

The Agile Transformation Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing Agile processes, practices, and culture across all levels of a large organization. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leading Agile transformations, ensuring that the organization adopts Agile methodologies effectively. The Agile Transformation Lead will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to fostering an Agile environment. In this role, the Agile Transformation Lead will serve as an effective leader and facilitator, guiding teams and senior leadership through the complexities of Agile transformation. The individual will apply a disciplined and methodical approach to help organizations define their Agile best practices tailored to their specific needs and capabilities. This includes training teams on various Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, Kanban, DevSecOps, and Scaled Agile (SAFe). Additionally, the Agile Transformation Lead will manage and facilitate teams involved in software and hardware development, including areas such as Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Web Services, Web Development, and Network implementation. Establishing a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) will also be a key responsibility, along with running Kanban teams to identify defects and enhancements, ensuring they are processed through the Change Control Board (CCB). The position offers flexibility in managing work hours and personal needs through a single accrual leave plan, along with a robust benefits package that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Responsibilities

  • Serve as an effective leader and facilitator for Agile transformation across the organization.
  • Apply a disciplined approach to define Agile best practices tailored to the organization's needs.
  • Train teams on Agile methodologies including Scrum, XP, Kanban, DevSecOps, and Scaled Agile (SAFe).
  • Coach senior leadership to overcome organizational impediments and promote an Agile culture.
  • Manage and facilitate teams in software and hardware development projects.
  • Establish the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE).
  • Run Kanban teams to identify defects and enhancements, processing them through the Change Control Board (CCB).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably 20 years in Agile transformation roles.
  • Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Domain expertise in Agile Transformation, Product Management, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and DevSecOps.
  • Technical skills in Agile Development, Agile Coaching, and Agile tools such as Version One, Rally, HP Agile Manager, and Jira.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Preferred certifications include SAFe Program Consultant SPC5, Certified Scrum Professional, Cert Scrum Master, IC Agile Certified Professional (ICP), Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), Certified Project Manager, and Disciplined Agile Delivery (DA).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across large groups.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience with TSA's mission priorities, systems, and applications is preferred.
