The Data Engineer position at LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is essential for supporting aircraft acquisitions and lease returns. The role involves conducting engineering analysis, designing repairs or modifications, and developing technical documentation. The Specialist will also engage in business development and continuous improvement initiatives while managing customer relationships to ensure effective operations and growth.

  • Conduct engineering analysis and substantiation for repair or modification designs.
  • Develop and manage technical documents such as repair approvals, drawings, reports, and specifications.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to intercompany airlines including ABX, ATI, and CAM.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (CRO, Heavy, and Line Maintenance) to support manufacturing activities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support certification processes and customer-related activities.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to drive business growth and revenue generation.
  • Identify and recommend areas for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage activities focused on maintaining and improving customer relationships and providing high-quality product support.
  • BS Degree in Engineering or a related field, or AS Degree in Engineering or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or BS Degree in any discipline with two years of relevant Engineering experience.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in aircraft maintenance, specifically in Structures, Avionics, or Systems.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance planning, manufacturing, and repair.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and Adobe Pro.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation and design tools.
  • Must maintain a working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations (e.g., 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 43, 91, 121, 135, 145).
  • Awareness and compliance with Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), Supplemental Type Certifications (STC), and other FAA and OEM documentation.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant area of specialization.
  • FAA DER (Designated Engineering Representative).
  • Management training or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of digital signal processing techniques, algorithm development, and software coding/simulation using MATLAB, Python, or equivalent.
