About the position

COHO Consulting Group is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to support a contract at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA. The role involves installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and performing final functional and operational tests on various major aircraft systems and components. The Aircraft Mechanic will also perform flight line maintenance, including functional testing and repairs of airframe mechanical systems, ensuring aircraft are prepared for operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Install, adjust, align, troubleshoot, and perform final functional and operational tests on major aircraft systems and components.
  • Perform flight line maintenance of assigned and transient operational aircraft, including functional testing and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Document all work per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair components detached from the aircraft, such as flaps, ailerons, and rudders.
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  • May assist with maintenance at off-site locations.
  • Operate ground support equipment as required.
  • Transport aircraft for maintenance using tugs as needed.

Requirements

  • Must pass a government background check including fingerprints.
  • Certificate from Avionics / electric A/C Technical School or equivalent military/vendor training is preferred.
  • Ground Support Equipment Qualifications and/or Engine Run Qualification may be required.
  • A&P license OR A license is preferred.
  • GROL or AET Certificate is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience; corporate jet or commercial aircraft experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of parts, components, subsystems, and assemblies such as ejection seats or similar self-contained systems.
  • Skill in reading and understanding data and settings from cockpit instruments.
  • Knowledge of activity supply procedures to initiate requisitions for needed parts and supplies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft.
  • Familiarity with standard and specialized tools and test equipment.
