Aircraft Structural Design Engineer

About the position

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to support flight vehicle structural design and development. The ideal candidate will apply engineering and physical science principles to design, integrate, document, and evaluate aircraft structures for performance, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate primary and secondary structural designs.
• Ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements (FAA, military, etc.).
• Support production and ship site operations, resolving build issues and interpreting requirements.
• Provide Final Line Engineering support, making rapid drawing updates and assisting the production line.
• Work with 2D drawings, mylars, 3D data packages, design guidelines, and standards.
• Utilize CAD and data management tools to support design and engineering work.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience with a BS degree, 3-6 years with an MS degree, or 0-3 years with a PhD.
• Primary Structure Design experience.
• Previous Boeing experience (Legacy or New Development Programs).
• Proficiency in the following tools: CATIA V5 / 3DX / ENOVIA / IVTPDM / REDARS.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural design standards and manufacturing processes.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
