About the position

ING is seeking a Vice President / Director for its ALM - Liquidity Risk Management team in New York. The TRM group is responsible for independent monitoring, controlling, reporting, and assessment of ING US' market risk positions. The ALM team specifically focuses on asset liability alignment, interest rate, and liquidity risk. The role involves reviewing liquidity management, developing stress tests, and collaborating with Treasury's Balance Sheet Management team to optimize liquidity across legal entities. The position requires a strong understanding of liquidity risk management techniques and regulations, as well as the ability to challenge liquidity risk positions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Review and challenge liquidity management in areas such as risk appetite, limit setting, LCR, stress testing methodologies, and models.
  • Develop, measure, and report stress tests and scenario analyses to evaluate liquidity risk positions.
  • Understand liquidity risk management techniques and product knowledge including corporate deposits, lending, FX derivatives, and investment portfolios.
  • Conduct regional and entity-specific liquidity forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with Treasury's Balance Sheet Management team to optimize liquidity across legal entities.
  • Stay updated on liquidity risk regulations from U.S. and foreign regulators.
  • Challenge the first line of defense on ING US' liquidity risk positions independently.
  • Participate in periodic SOX, Model Validation, and Audit reviews.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of banking experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science preferred
  • Strong background in liquidity management within a global banking institution
  • Prior exposure to US regulators (Fed, OCC) is required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
