About the position

The Analyst / Associate, Strategic Finance - Sales Finance role at Verkada is designed for an individual to help build the Sales Finance function within a high-growth pre-IPO startup. This position is part of the Strategic Finance team and involves partnering cross-functionally with various go-to-market teams to provide financial insights, enhance decision-making processes, and drive operational excellence. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on both immediate and long-term objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with leaders across the Sales organization and related sales support teams.
  • Own Verkada's topline forecasting models to improve visibility and predictability of quarterly results and long-term trajectory.
  • Define, build, and monitor core GTM metrics and management dashboards, facilitating planning and goal-setting processes in Sales.
  • Build business cases for new initiatives and conduct ad hoc analysis for critical business questions.
  • Drive impact on a daily basis by addressing immediate problems while also planning for long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, Business Operations, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or a highly analytical role at a fast-growing startup.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and the ability to translate business concepts into structured spreadsheet models.
  • High attention to detail and strategic instincts, ensuring precision and error-free outputs while recognizing critical priorities.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create structure in a fast-paced startup environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and build credibility.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $160,000 USD.
