Analyst, Business Intelligence

About the position

Equinox is looking for a high-energy individual to join our Business Intelligence group. As an Equinox Analyst, you will solve complex challenges and identify new opportunities using a combination of analytical rigor, business acumen, strategic thinking, and project and relationship management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is evolving and will grow over time. This position is based out of our NYC headquarters in Hudson Yards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain dashboards and standardized reporting for various stakeholders including executive team, sales, marketing, and operations
• Support research and strategy on user behavior, for both members/non-members across digital platforms (desktop, mobile, app)
• Develop analysis, executive presentations, and insights from large quantities of mixed data
• Perform detailed quality checking and cross-referencing of data with past analysis, business and industry knowledge
• Prepare, format, and clean data for analysis, adhering to strict quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of the analysis
• Support research and strategy on member engagement and optimization of member experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in a quantitative discipline: Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics or other related field
• 1-2 years of work experience
• Proficiency in programming languages (SQL, Python, etc.), BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel etc.)
• Excellent analytical skills plus ability to develop and clearly communicate insights from large, complex data, querying and mining large data sets
• Organized, detail oriented, proactive, able to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and requests
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in consumer/retail industries is a plus
