Analyst, Financial Analysis

About the position

Reporting to the Manager, Finance Analytics, as the Analyst, Financial Analysis, you will form a part of the Financial Analysis team within the CSL Behring Financial Planning & Analysis organization. You will provide Finance Business Partner support to the Behring business unit by evaluating business cases, applying advanced analytics to evaluate the financial impacts and implications of potential changes to capital projects and portfolios, product mix, yield, supply plans, major operational, supply chain or network changes, and other decisions within the CSL Behring business unit. You will complete advanced analysis and modelling that is not offered as a 'standard' output from the Financial Planning & Analysis Reporting team. In addition to Financial Analysis, you will contribute insights, narrative, and advice on the analysis to support understanding and decision-making related to the financial and operational aspects of the situation or opportunity. Using your business acumen, you will provide financial analysis support across the full breadth of the CSL Behring business unit, spanning commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, network strategy, and plasma collection. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Works with CSLB Finance Business Partners and the business to understand problems and suggests potential tools and analytical techniques for a given business problem.
• Performs scenario modelling and analysis for Sites and Functions.
• Prepares function and site-specific business cases for CAPEX and OPEX projects, network and supply changes, and site-specific initiatives.
• Creates new statistical and analytical methods for highlighting critical variables on specific issues, opportunities, or situations.
• Works closely with the CSLB Finance Leadership team members and the CSLB Finance Business Partners to ensure all financial analyses are effectively interpreted and explained.
• Supports CSLB Finance analytics projects that help the business drive efficiencies and evaluate complex decisions.
• Supports analysis of Capex projects and portfolios to provide evaluations of current project performance and implications on budgets and broader business performance.
• Champions process improvements that drive operating efficiencies within Finance and the business.

Requirements

• Must earn a minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or other quantitative degree such as Economics, Science, Mathematics, or Engineering by the time you begin employment.
• Pursuing an MBA or other advanced degree in related field a plus.
• Data Science or Data Management certification an advantage.
• 0 - 2 years' experience in finance or business analytics-related function.
• Proven background in math, statistics, and modelling.
• Understanding of advanced analytics and statistical software such as RStudio or Python a plus.
• Experience in data mining of structured and unstructured data.
• Experience using data transformation and workflow tools such as Alteryx a plus.
• Experience with visualization software such as PowerBI or Tableau.
• Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.
