About the position

The position involves participating in software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of more experienced team members. The role requires collaboration with team members to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines, contributing to the documentation of software requirements and specifications, and assisting in diagnosing and resolving technical issues. The candidate will support the implementation of emerging technologies and best practices, participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Active learning from and assisting more experienced team members is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.
• Contribute to the documentation of software requirements and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies, including Java, JavaScript, JSF, JSP, VB6, VB.NET, IBM NET.DATA, SQL including PL/SQL, UNIX/AIX command line and scripting, and Perl scripting.
• Proficiency in 1 or more technologies, including IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle databases, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle DRDA, Oracle Forms 6, iSeries AS400, DB2 for i database, and DB2ii.
• Basic understanding of coding and debugging.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
