About the position

PODS Enterprises, LLC is seeking an Analyst II - Business Intelligence to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This full-time position is essential for driving our business intelligence initiatives and supporting our operational reporting needs. The Analyst will work closely with senior leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that provide comprehensive coverage of PODS' business operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our data-driven decisions align with corporate objectives and that our reporting structures meet the needs of various stakeholders across the organization. In this role, you will partner with leaders in Marketing, Sales/Service, Operations, and Finance to ensure that data definitions and interpretations are consistent and effectively communicated. You will also collaborate with the IT and Data Analytics teams to design and architect reports and data structures that fulfill business requirements. As a liaison between commercial and operating functions and IT, you will oversee data quality and governance, ensuring that our data is reliable and actionable. The Analyst will lead the strategy for developing shared tools and reports that can be utilized across multiple user groups. You will assist senior management in defining and managing the analytical agenda, focusing on revenue and profitability performance, sales funnel performance, asset utilization, and revenue optimization. Your insights will help identify key drivers of revenue performance and assess risks and opportunities, ultimately contributing to PODS' continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Define KPIs and metrics that provide thorough coverage of PODS business for Senior Leaders
  • Support and inform operational reporting needs of cross-functional partners and align those to Corporate KPIs
  • Partner with leaders in Marketing, Sales/Service, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment on data definitions and consistent presentation
  • Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics team in the design and architecture of reports and data structures
  • Act as a liaison between commercial/operating functions and IT regarding Data, Data quality, and Data governance
  • Lead the strategy for developing shared tools and reports to be used across multiple user groups
  • Assist senior management in defining and managing the analytical agenda in support of revenue and profitability performance

Requirements

  • BS degree in a business discipline such as Finance, Marketing, Accounting or operations research; MBA desired
  • 2+ years of experience performing marketing or financial analysis, preferably in a fixed asset intensive industry such as Hospitality, Travel, Cargo Transportation, or in an Analytics Consulting role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to influence and expedite the decision-making process; experience working directly with and advising Senior Leadership is a plus
  • Ability to see the big picture and 'tell the story' behind the data to drive consensus and action
  • Understanding of the strategic levers of the business and how analytics is a catalyst for decision making
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to put structure around vague and unstructured requests/discussions
  • Ability to quickly solve problems in complex situations using creative and conceptual reasoning
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence reporting and development using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Google Data Studio, etc.
  • Comfortable with SQL and large transactional data sets
  • A positive team player with the ability to communicate effectively, influence cross-functionally and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries
