About The Position

The Analyst - Program Management & Governance plays a crucial role in enhancing team performance by facilitating Agile/Scrum practices and ensuring that product readiness aligns with sprint goals. This position focuses on removing impediments, managing Jira boards, and fostering productive relationships with stakeholders to drive project success.

Requirements

  • Agile, Scrum certification (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a project manager or scrum master required; 3+ years preferred.
  • 2+ years leading and administering projects using a tool such as Jira or similar project management systems preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM or related certification strongly preferred).
  • Thorough understanding and experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Kanban/Scrum ceremonies tailored to the applicable team/squad.
  • Facilitate the sizing of stories during planning sprints, backlog grooming, or sprint planning sessions.
  • Develop, administer, and manage Jira boards.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business owners, product owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
  • Establish team-level cadence and drive team-level ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate working sessions to capture detailed requirements and write user stories for business partners.
  • Work with teams to define and refine program and team backlogs.
  • Escalate issues to leadership and remove impediments for the team(s) where possible.
  • Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality.
  • Act as a liaison to assigned program manager and project managers.
  • Manage dependencies between the program team and third parties, release managers, or other scrum teams.
  • Provide real-time feedback to the methodology team based on experiences with software delivery teams.
  • Communicate scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests, and critical issues to clients and project teams.
  • Use historical and planned velocity to assist teams with commitments.
