We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join our Development and Applications Support team as an Analyst/Programmer. This position is crucial in advancing the University's mission, vision, and goals through the design and support of web database applications. As an Analyst/Programmer, you will be responsible for designing web database applications and providing system application support for campus-wide projects. This role involves actively participating in web application design, incorporating the latest industry security measures, and adhering to best practices. You will be tasked with creating, updating, and maintaining campus and college web pages, ensuring consistency with the overall campus web presence and compliance with requirements such as Advanced Technology International (ATI) and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) standards. In addition to web development, you will serve as a system and database administrator, overseeing the management, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting of database, web, and application servers. A significant aspect of your role will involve developing extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes between IT systems and campus and college systems. You will also be responsible for implementing security measures and ensuring the proper functioning of web and database applications, along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Design web database applications and provide system application support for campus-wide projects.
  • Participate in web application design by incorporating the latest industry security measures and adhering to best practices.
  • Create, update, and maintain campus and college web pages while ensuring consistency with the overall campus web presence.
  • Ensure compliance with Advanced Technology International (ATI) and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) standards.
  • Serve as a system and database administrator, managing, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting database, web, and application servers.
  • Develop extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes between IT systems and campus and college systems.
  • Implement security measures and ensure the proper functioning of web and database applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in web application development and design.
  • Strong knowledge of database management and administration.
  • Familiarity with security measures and compliance standards such as ATI and PCI.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web and application servers.
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or PHP.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
