About the position

The Analyst Revenue Cycle position at Corewell Health is responsible for coordinating the maintenance of departmental revenue cycle business systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is crucial for managing tasks that impact cash flow, patient satisfaction, and confidentiality, while also monitoring and trending data for assigned revenue cycle departments.

Responsibilities

• Review and make recommendations regarding hospital or professional charges and fee structures.
• Research patient access, coding, and billing requirements for new procedures or regulatory changes.
• Coordinate updates of CPT/HCPCS codes, bill edits, and third-party payer changes.
• Assist in resolving revenue cycle issues such as patient access, billing, or denials.
• Develop systems to proactively address trends in revenue cycle issues.
• Facilitate the development of strategies for evaluating and implementing assigned tasks.
• Communicate and collaborate with others to facilitate continuity and coordination of services.
• Act as a liaison to outside consultants and keep management informed of progress and problems.
• Assess educational needs related to revenue cycle and coordinate appropriate teaching strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in billing, coding, reimbursement, technology & information solutions, or finance.
