About the position
The Analyst (Sourcing/Origination) position at Advantage Capital is designed for motivated individuals who are passionate about impact investing. The role involves sourcing investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and building relationships with entrepreneurs across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work, contributing to the firm's mission of transforming communities through capital investment.
Responsibilities
- Perform outreach for investment sourcing and build relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and operators of companies in a broad range of industries.
- Evaluate debt and equity investment opportunities.
- Complete financial analysis and modeling, industry research, and general due diligence on potential investments.
- Assist in the negotiation and structuring of debt and equity transactions.
- Draft and present investment memos detailing transactions, companies, and industries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (or estimated graduation date spring/summer 2025)
- 0-4 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
