As a Supplier Relationship Management Sr. Analyst at American Airlines, you'll own initiatives and drive strategy across multiple programs, including supplier performance, supplier risk, and supplier sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, monitoring and analyzing supplier performance metrics (e.g., quality, delivery, cost, compliance). Prepare reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support performance review meetings.
• Identify and assess supplier risks. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier sustainability standards are met across the supply chain, focusing on environmental and social responsibility. Monitor supplier sustainability efforts and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Partner with stakeholders and business partners across American to align expectations and deliver on enterprise wide.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier records, in compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Monitor supplier adherence to contracts, regulatory guidelines, and sustainability commitments.
• Collect and analyze data to generate actionable insights on supplier performance, risks, and opportunities. Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in supplier relationship management, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on risk management, and/or sustainability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) or Sustainability (e.g., LEED, CSR certifications).
• Experience with or knowledge of supplier performance evaluation methodologies.
• Experience with or knowledge of supplier risk management.
• Experience with or knowledge of sustainability reporting and best practices within supply chains.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
