About the position

The Systems Analyst role is essential for collaborating with business partners and application development teams to deliver and maintain technology solutions. This position involves system analysis, administration, monitoring, support, and ensuring compliance with infrastructure standards. The analyst acts as a liaison between various IT teams and addresses requests and issues from customers and help desk personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners and application development teams to build, refine, test, secure, and debug system capabilities.
  • Author and maintain system and process documentation, including workflow charts and system specifications.
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to team members as needed.
  • Design an effective system monitoring and alerting plan in collaboration with infrastructure and application development teams.
  • Respond to system anomalies and partner with respective teams to remediate them.
  • Address inquiries from business partners and support calls escalated by help desk.
  • Author and maintain a knowledgebase for effective resolution of repetitive requests and inquiries.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for system-related incidents and facilitate analysis for incidents related to infrastructure.
  • Ensure all software and infrastructure components have the required patches and plan updates with partner teams.
  • Contribute to system compliance audits and create standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Understand and adhere to IS change management policies for release management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in analysis, configuration, and development on relevant platforms.
  • 2+ years hands-on development experience with desired programming languages and database tools.
  • 1+ year in an operations role providing production support for large enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand business goals and design appropriate solutions.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • General awareness of web and cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, and on-premises deployments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
