About the position

The Analytics Engineer is a critical role in the Business Intelligence team, working toward the goal of designing and implementing complex data-driven decision-making solutions for Year Up United. Sitting in IT, the Analytics Engineer collaborates with and influences analysts and business users across the organization to produce analytical material that enables a more rigorous and empirical understanding of our operations and outcomes through data. Business Intelligence sits at the intersection of business and technology, and this role is grounded in both. As a technical position, our day-to-day work primarily consists of leveraging the modern data stack that drives insights for hundreds of staff across the country. Year Up United takes an evidence-based approach to program development and improvement. This is an ideal role for a deeply analytical individual who is a self-starter, a quick learner, and someone who wants to help close the Opportunity Divide that exists in our country. In keeping with Year Up United's values, the Analytics Engineer will have the opportunity to interact with students as coach, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in creating and sustaining a positive educational environment, with trust among students, faculty, and site leaders.
