About the position

As an Apartment Leasing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in finding their ideal living space while ensuring a smooth leasing process. This position is ideal for those who are motivated, reliable, and have a passion for helping others. You will be working closely with a top Property Management client, and InterSolutions will support you throughout the hiring process, making it easy to transition into your new role. The job involves a combination of customer interaction, administrative tasks, and marketing efforts to attract new residents. You will be expected to greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and assess their housing needs and preferences. Additionally, you will handle all leasing paperwork, including lease agreements and move-in packets, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. Your role will also involve collecting security deposits and rent, communicating community policies, and following up with leads to maximize leasing opportunities. You will need to ensure that apartments are move-in ready by conducting inspections and making any necessary last-minute preparations. This position requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as basic computer knowledge. Familiarity with leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, or MRI is a plus. The ability to work weekends is also required, as this role may involve weekend shifts to accommodate prospective residents' schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs and preferences.
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks).
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease.
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate.
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques.
  • Manage the lease renewal process.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service roles.
  • Ability to engage with different personalities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exposure to social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, or MRI is a plus.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.
