About the position

As an Apartment Leasing Consultant with InterSolutions, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in finding their ideal living space while ensuring a smooth leasing process. In this role, you will greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and assess their housing needs and preferences. You will be responsible for preparing and assisting new residents with all necessary leasing paperwork, including lease agreements and move-in packets. Additionally, you will handle the collection of security deposits and rent, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately. Communication is key, as you will need to convey lease and community policies to both new and current residents, and follow up with leads who have not yet leased an apartment. To ensure a seamless transition for new residents, you will inspect apartments to confirm they are move-in ready and make any last-minute adjustments as needed. Your creativity will come into play as you seek out new residents through innovative marketing techniques. You will also manage the lease renewal process and respond promptly to all inquiries via calls, emails, and site visits. This position reports directly to the property manager, and your success will be measured by your ability to engage with diverse personalities and provide outstanding service throughout the leasing process.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs and preferences.
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks).
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease.
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate.
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques.
  • Manage the lease renewal process.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and exposure to social media.
  • Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, MRI, etc.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous backgrounds in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service roles.
