About the position

As an Apartment Leasing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to both current and prospective residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals in finding their ideal living space while ensuring a smooth leasing process. This position is ideal for those who are motivated, reliable, and have a passion for helping others. You will be working closely with a top Property Management client, and InterSolutions will support you throughout the hiring process, making it easy to transition into your new role. The job involves a variety of tasks, including greeting prospective residents, conducting tours, and determining their housing needs and preferences. You will also be responsible for preparing and assisting new residents with all necessary leasing paperwork, including lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and conducting employment and credit checks. In addition to paperwork, you will collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins. Clear communication of lease and community policies to both new and current residents is essential. Following up with leads and prospects who did not lease is also part of your responsibilities, as is ensuring that apartments are move-in ready by inspecting them and adding any last-minute touches when appropriate. You will be expected to seek out new residents using creative marketing techniques and manage the lease renewal process effectively. Timely responses to all calls, emails, and site visits are crucial to maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs and preferences.
  • Accurately prepare and assist new residents with all leasing paperwork (i.e. lease move-in packets, applications, lease agreements, and employment and credit checks).
  • Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins.
  • Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease.
  • Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate.
  • Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques.
  • Manage the lease renewal process.
  • Respond timely to all calls, emails, and site visits.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service roles.
  • Ability to engage with different personalities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exposure to social media.
  • Knowledge of leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Onesite, MRI, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to work weekends as required.
