About the position

The Apartment Leasing Agent role is a full-time, temp-to-hire position responsible for assisting the Property Manager at two properties located in Seaside Heights and Waretown, NJ. The agent will engage with prospective tenants, manage rental processes, and ensure the properties are well-maintained and appealing to residents and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Assist Property Manager by splitting time between two properties in Seaside Heights, NJ and Waretown, NJ.
• Show units to prospective tenants and assist with rental payments and late notices.
• Process work orders and answer incoming phone calls, providing information or routing calls appropriately.
• Greet visitors, prospective tenants, and current residents, providing accurate information on available rental units.
• Post basic information on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
• File paperwork pertaining to the property and organize the office, ordering supplies as needed.
• Partner with the maintenance team on work orders for residents.
• Maintain a wait list, update it, and send letters as necessary.
• Tour the property daily to ensure it is neat, tidy, attractive, and in good repair.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six (6) months prior leasing, property management, or other related experience is a plus.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
