Requirements

  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) or (FNP-BC).
  • Demonstrated competence in providing care for an adequate volume of patients in the past twelve months.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ENT specialty care.
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes and payer systems such as Medicare and Medicaid.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service to patients in acute, short, and long-term care settings.
  • Assist physicians in assessing patients and treating injuries and ailments.
  • Obtain thorough medical histories from patients and perform necessary examinations or assessments.
  • Analyze and interpret information from patients and medical records to establish appropriate diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and navigation.
  • Formulate treatment plans and prescribe medications as legally authorized.
  • Maintain complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
  • Consult with or refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Provide health information to promote wellness and prevent disease.
  • Counsel patients and families on self-management and treatment plans.
  • Conduct hospital consultations, rounding, and assist with patient procedures as needed.
  • Incorporate evidence-based practice guidelines into patient care.
  • Stay updated on state regulations and payer systems relevant to advanced practice providers.
